St Brigids Day.

On February 1st, Bernice came with rushes and we made St Brigid's crosses. We were grouped according to family. First while holding a rush in one hand we bent another rush and joined them by overlapping the rushes. We continued to assemble the crosses by bending and overlapping. We worked for about an hour. Then the teachers tied them and trimmed them.

Later we took them home to our parents and grandparents .
