Science Week 2018.

This week Dr. Rachel Quinlan visited the school for the Science Week Workshop entitled " The Shapes of Science"

As part of this workshop we investigated the triangle and its combination to construct " shapes of science" from polyhedron.

We were presented with  various  challenges by Dr. Rachel who is head of Mathematics at NUIG ,  which involved making shapes from the polyhedron magnets, with a given number of triangles at a point.

Although we have use polyhedron in the past , it was exciting to see who could construct the shapes quickest, and solve the problem posed.
